STANDARD RULES OF PLAY
At the start of a match players SHUFFLE their deck which can be between 10 - 20 cards no more than 20 and no less than 10!
ONCE YOU HAVE SHUFFLED!
PLACE YOUR DECK INFRONT OF YOU FACE DOWN!
PLACE THE CONSUMABLE CARD OF YOUR CHOOSING TO THE RIGHT OF YOUR DECK FACE DOWN! YOU CAN ONLY CHOOSE 1 CONSUMABLE TO USE IN BATTLE AND CANNOT SWITCH DURING BATTLES! THESE ARE SEPERATE TO DECK CARDS!
IT IS RECOMMENDED TO PLAY THIS GAME USING THE VISUAL AIDS BUT YOU CAN USE ANYTHING FOR VISUAL AIDS PROVIDED YOU HAVE 10 CARD POINTS & 4 ENERGY TOKENS
PLACE YOUR CARD POINT VISUAL AIDS ABOVE YOUR FACE DOWN DECK
PLACE YOUR ENERGY TOKEN VISUAL AIDS ABOVE YOUR FACE DOWN CONSUMABLE CARD
YOU NOW NEED TO SET YOUR HEALTH TYPE 5,000 ON YOUR CALCULATORS. THAT IS YOUR HEALTH POINTS!
FLIP A COIN TO GO FIRST OR CHOOSE BETWEEN YOURSELVES WHO WILL TAKE THEIR TURN FIRST!
NOW ITS YOUR TURN, YOU HAVE 2 CHOICES:
DRAW:
IF YOU CHOOSE TO DRAW, DRAW THE TOP CARD FROM YOUR FACE DOWN DECK
LOOK AT IT, DO NOT SHOW YOUR OPPONENT. DECIDE TO PASS OR PLAY THAT CARD
IF YOU CHOSE TO PLAY THAT CARD, TAKE THE REQUIRED AMOUNT OF CARD POINTS (TOP RIGHT OF CARD) FROM YOUR STACK (ABOVE DECK) AND PLACE THEM TO THE LEFT OF YOU
NOW PLACE THE CARD YOU HAVE IN YOUR HAND FACE UP ON THE BOARD AND DO WHAT IT SAYS TO DO ON THE CARD, I.E: DEALS 500 HEALTH POINT DAMAGE TO THE OPPONENT. THE PLAYER AFFECTED BY THE CARD WOULD MINUS 500 FROM THEIR 5,000 HEALTH POINTS LEAVING THEM ON 4,500. ONCE THE CARD HAS FINISHED ITS EFFECT, PLACE IT FACE DOWN TO THE LEFT OF YOUR DECK AND THAT BECOMES YOUR PLAYED CARD ZONE OR PCZ FOR SHORT.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO PASS THE CARD YOU DREW FROM YOUR DECK, YOU PLACE IT FACE DOWN TO THE LEFT OF THE DECK IN THE PCZ AND COLLECT 3 CARD POINTS BACK FROM YOUR SPENT PILE (ABOVE PCZ)
DEFEND:
IF YOU CHOOSE TO DEFEND OVER DRAWING A CARD, HALF ANY INCOMING DAMAGE DEALT FROM A DAMAGE CARDS POWER AND COLLECT 1 CARD POINT BACK FROM YOUR SPENT PILE (ABOVE PCZ)
THE TURNS WILL ROTATE BETWEEN THE PLAYERS BACK AND FORTH, YOU MAY ONLY DRAW MORE THAN 1 CARD IF YOU HAVE A CARD THAT TELLS YOU TO DO SO.
THE FIRST PERSON TO REACH 0 HEALTH POINTS LOSES.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BELOW ARE SOME FINERIES ABOUT THE GAME YOU MAY WISH TO REFER TO IF YOU ARE EVER CONFUSED. PLEASE NOTE CONSUMABLE CARDS & STORED CARDS ARE EXPLAINED IN THIS SECTION
Every card has a set amount of card points they use dependant on rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic & Unique) each card also has a cool down specified for each card, please note Cooldowns on the card only apply to OPEN EYE Matches, Standard Rules of Play do not use the Cooldown rule.
Each Play of a Damage card will give the player 1 Energy Token, A Player can hold a maximum of 4 Energy Tokens at one Time
CONSUMABLE CARDS!
Consumable Cards do not use Card Points however they consume Energy Tokens and Do not gain any tokens on their use. A player can choose to take only 1 consumable card into a match and they must gain energy tokens in order to use them. A consumable card can be used at any time during a match provided a player has 4 energy tokens. Using a consumable card consumes the energy gained and the player must recharge their consumbale card to use it again during a battle.
STORED CARDS!
The Stored Cards Zone (SCZ) was a mechanic introduced to the game during the roll out of Wave 3. On a players turn, when they draw a card, if that card is a SUPPORT or SPECIAL card, they can store that card in the SCZ for use later on, this action ends the players current turn. Only 1 card can occupy the SCZ at any given time and DAMAGE cards are NOT permitted to be stored. A player can use their Stored Card at any point during their turn provided they can afford it. The use of a stored card does not end the players turn.
BANISHMENT!
If a card has been banished from the game, that card gets put to one side of the board completely out of play and must remain out of play until the battle has ended.
Reshuffle Rule!
The moment a player has played all of their deck cards to the PCZ (played card zone) they must immediately shuffle the PCZ pile & place it back in the Deck slot face down. Play then continues until someone is defeated.
Time Limit?
Turns have no time limit, however it is considered to be unsportsmanlike delaying play for longer than 2 minutes
Deck Limit?
A Deck can consist of 10 to 20 cards per battle, a minimum of 10 cards to play Is mandatory to keep the draw ratio as fair as possible and a maximum of 20 cards can be used for the same reason.
Duplicates?
There is a 5 card limit to the amount of non unique card duplicates a player can have in their deck. Only 1 copy of each unique card may be present in a players deck during battle, for example i cannot have 2 Felion cards in my deck, but i can have 5 Triumpkin if i so desired
Consumable cards do not count to a players Deck limit e.g. I have a 20 Card Deck and 1 Consumable Card
Playing for keeps?
If playing for keeps is to be used it must be stated before the battle begins. Both Players must choose one card from their deck and set it aside, these cards are known as the ante. These cards cannot be used during the battle and the winner gets to keep both cards.
